I believe that most people can benefit from therapy at some point in their lives. My ideal client understands that achieving their goals may require changes in perspective or lifestyle, even if they haven't identified those specific changes yet. I enjoy working with individuals navigating various life transitions, particularly new parents, folks experiencing pregnancy and childbirth, and older adults. I also support clients facing transitions such as changes in education, career, location, or relationships. I specialize in addressing clinical concerns like anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

It feels like the ultimate privilege to witness another person's raw humanity. There is no greater gift than journeying with someone as they heal and grow. Sometimes life is really hard, and sitting with another being in this difficult place, seeing the darkness and the beauty, allows me to have a greater sense of connection to both myself, the client, and all of humanity!

Therapy can be fun! When we release the pressure we place on ourselves and allow our bodies, minds, and spirits the space and support they need to heal, it can become a truly gratifying experience. While we may broach some deep topics and address serious concerns, I believe that introducing lightness when appropriate can help facilitate a more easeful healing journey. You never know what you may learn about yourself along the way too.

The term “therapy" encompasses a broad range of modalities, therapeutic styles, frameworks, and applications. Because of this diversity, I believe that we all can benefit from therapy when we find a good fit! As we are constantly evolving, there are times when outside support can help us work towards our goals.

"Success" is really defined by the client and the progress you have made towards your goals. It will look different for each person, but it is something we will discuss early on together in order to guide our work together. Sometimes success can be an internal shift, a more positive outlook, or a reduction in symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, etc. These inward shifts will likely result in very tangible lifestyle changes too!

My approach is both gentle, yet firm. I respect my clients as authority of their own lives and experiences, and understand that I am just one part of their journey—here to offer hope, insight, and gentle guidance informed by my own expertise and experiences. I enjoy incorporating somatic practices into our work, bringing together the mind, body, and spirit for whole person healing. As a certified yoga instructor, I also love integrating movement into sessions whenever it’s appropriate.
